Brand

The OHQ brand.

OpenHQ is building a headquarters for agents, so the brand is drawn like one: letters as walls on a floor plan, in black, grey and white. Here are the marks, the colors and the type, and how to use them.

§ 01 · Name

Open is the mission. HQ is the vision.

We research and build open infrastructure for agents, to become the go-to headquarters for them. The name holds both, and the wordmark shows it: OPEN in grey, HQ in ink.

OpenHQ
The name. One word, with a capital O, H and Q.
OHQ
The short form, and the everyday wordmark.
ohq.ai
The domain. The OHQ wordmark carries “.ai” after it.
Open HQ
Not two words, and not OpenHq or Openhq.

§ 03 · Color

Black, grey and white. No accent color.

Warm neutrals only. Emphasis comes from weight, fill and inversion, never from a hue. Grey is the second tone: it marks the secondary part of a mark, like the O for Open. Click a swatch to copy it.

§ 04 · Type

Three open-source typefaces.

All three are free under the SIL Open Font License and served from Google Fonts. Archivo is set wide and heavy for headlines, Public Sans carries the reading, and Martian Mono labels things.

§ 01 · Mission

§ 05 · Illustration

Built from blocks, in one projection.

Figures are isometric, all in the same projection as the wordmark building on the home page. White is what's already there, ink is what's ours or new, grey is what's still going up, and agents are small cubes with grey tops. One soft shadow sits under the ground.

Open infrastructure: the foundation poured on the site, with the columns started.

01 · Foundation

Ink marks what we build: the open infrastructure, poured as the foundation, with the grey columns started.

Built on top: the building on its foundation, with the door open and agents walking in.

02 · Built on top

Once something's built on it, the foundation turns white and the new work is in ink. The door stands open, and agents walk in.

§ 06 · Writing

Plain, specific and measured.

We write the way we build: in the open, with the evidence attached. Say what something does and who it's for, in the words an engineer would use.
